Website

we, Maccabim Foundation of Iranian Immigrants (RNP) (hereinafter “Maccabim Foundation” or “the Foundation”), have invested significant resources in making this website accessible (hereinafter “the Website”), according to our commitment to equality and transparency towards people with disabilities, and as mandated by the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Accommodations), 5773-2013, Section C: The Internet Services, and beyond their requirements.

The website has been made accessible to level AA (at least) as defined in the current international standard WCAG 2.2 (version dated 12 Dec 2024), in accordance with the Israeli standard IS 5568 Part 1: Guidelines for Web Content Accessibility: Website Accessibility (version from May 2021). We have also made preparations towards complying with the WCAG 3.0 (working draft from 12 Dec 2024) standard, which will soon come into effect.

Below are the accessibility accommodations implemented on the site:

• Optimization for visual impairments, including attention to the fonts, sizes and contrast of texts, offering a choice between light and dark themes, ensuring focused elements are visually emphasized, and supporting a preference for reduced motion.
• Optimization for screen reader software, including attention to HTML tags semantics and their aria attributes, and providing alternative descriptions (alt text) for images.

• Optimization for keyboard navigation, as follows:

  • Tab and Shift+Tab for navigating between interactive items.
  • Enter for following a link or selecting a menu item.
  • ↑ and ↓ for navigating between menu items.
  • Esc for closing menus and dialogs.

The website is proactively checked at least once a year to ensure that its accessibility implementations continue to align with updated standards and are supported by the latest versions of popular browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Opera). The website is fully supported by these browsers and by popular screen reader software (NVDA, Jaws, VoiceOver, ChromeVox).

As of the writing of this, we are not aware of any accessibility limitations on the site. Third Parties

The process of applying to the Foundation’s scholarship is conducted via email and via forms created by the Foundation in “Google Forms”. These forms are also accessible in accordance with strict standards (see Google Accessibility Conformance Report International Edition, dated 7 Oct 2024). Physical Accessibility Arrangements

For the sake of good order, it should be noted that this document lacks reference to physical accessibility arrangements because the Maccabim Foundation does not receive the public physically in any matter and in any case.
