The Maccabim Foundation of Iranian Immigrants (R.A.), Reg. No. 580426609 (the "Foundation"), welcomes your choice to browse the website operated at: www.maccabim.org (the "Website").
Maccabim is a non-profit Israeli foundation whose goal is to promote social equality through educational activities. To advance this goal, the foundation focuses on supporting students in all higher education institutions in Israel, with priority given to students of Iranian descent. In addition, the foundation supports research on the social heritage of Iranian Jews and Iranian studies in general, as well as any activity that contributes to the advancement of the Iranian Jewish community in the fields of education, society, and culture.
The website was established to provide students and educational institutions with information about the opening of registration for Maccabim Foundation scholarships, as well as information about its members, donors, donation methods, and the process for repaying loans previously granted by the foundation.
Use of the Website:
- These Terms of Service constitute a binding agreement between you, whether individually or on behalf of an entity ("you"), and the website regarding your browsing and use of the website on any computer or communication device such as a mobile phone, tablet, etc. They also apply to the use of the website via the internet or any other network or means of communication, including access via phone, app, or any other means. User Declarations:
- By browsing the website, you undertake and declare the following: (1) Browsing and use of the website are at your sole responsibility; (2) The details you provided when submitting information on the website are correct, current, accurate, and complete; (3) If necessary, you will update your details by contacting the website; (4) You have legal capacity and agree to the Terms; (5) You will not use the website by automated or non-human means, whether by BOT, script, or any other method; (6) You will not use the website unlawfully; (7) Your use of the website will not violate any applicable law or regulation.

Decision-Making in Granting Scholarships:
- Submitting a scholarship application does not obligate the Foundation to grant a scholarship, even if the applicant meets the scholarship conditions.
- Scholarship amounts may change from time to time and at the sole discretion of the Foundation.
- The scholarship and/or part of it may be given as a loan and against a security check.
- The Foundation will have broad and exclusive discretion in granting scholarships.
Making a Donation on the Website:
- You can make a donation to the Foundation through the website in a convenient, easy, and secure manner.
- The Foundation has a valid certificate for tax-deductible donations under Section 46 of the Income Tax Ordinance.
- When making a donation, the donor will be required to provide various details, such as full name, phone number, email address, and other details at the website’s discretion. The donor is responsible for providing correct, accurate, current, and complete information. The website may verify the details entered after the donation is made.
- Donations will be made by bank transfer and/or sending a check by mail or any other means permitted by the Foundation. After confirming the donation transfer, the Foundation will issue a donation receipt to the donor in accordance with the law.
- It is emphasized that the Foundation will not be responsible for sending checks by mail.
- Making donations on the website is subject to additional terms and restrictions that will be detailed on the website.
- The donor confirms and agrees that: (1) the donation is made voluntarily and the donor will not receive anything in return; (2) the Foundation may use the donation funds at its sole discretion and in accordance with the Foundation’s purposes as detailed on the website and in these Terms.
- In addition to these Terms, the terms of the clearing company or other payment method will also apply. Notwithstanding the above, the website reserves the right to determine other payment arrangements, all at its sole discretion.
Change and Cancellation Policy:
- A request to change or cancel a donation should be sent to the Foundation via the email address listed at the end of these Terms.
- The Foundation will respond to a donation cancellation request at its sole discretion.
- If a request for change or cancellation is approved, it will be carried out after the donor receives written confirmation from the Foundation.
- If a refund is made, it will be issued to the payment method used by the donor for the donation.
Intellectual Property:
- Unless explicitly stated otherwise, all copyrights and intellectual property rights on the website, including designs, images, databases, software, code, audio, video, text ("the Content"), as well as icons, trademarks, etc. ("the Marks"), are owned solely by the website, or by a third party who has permitted or licensed the website to use such content or marks, including the website’s business partners.
- The Content and Marks are provided "AS IS" for personal use only.
